Does the University of Delaware require that I send in my mid-year grades?

Our office will be contacting your high school guidance office shortly about your mid-year report, so you do not have to ask them directly.

I applied via the Common Application; is there a way to check my status online?

All applicants, whether using the Common Application or the UD application, can check their status at www.udel.edu/checkyourstatus. If you used the UD online application, enter the username and password you used to apply. If you applied via the Common Application you will need to follow the steps to create a username and password.

What address do I use to mail in any supplemental materials?

Please mail all materials to: Office of Admissions, University Visitors Center, Newark, DE 19716.

I need a Recommendation form. Where can I find one?

You can download a Recommendation form here: http://admissions.udel.edu/apply
It is also acceptable for you to make copies of the recommedation form found in your paper application.

I am currently a senior in high school and am taking a college class. Will I receive credit at the University of Delaware for these classes?

The University of Delaware accepts credits from regionally accredited institutions in which the students received a grade or "C" or better in college-level courses (not remedial.) Pass/Fail grades are not accepted.

Do you have Early Decision or Early Action?

No, we no longer have Early Decision nor do we have Early Action. Read our complete statement.

Do you consider the writing scores from the SAT Reasoning Test?

Yes we do. We look at all three scores. If you take the test multiple times, we will take the best three individual scores for the best combined score. We also accept the ACT. If you choose to take the ACT you must take the writing portion.

Do I need the SAT Subject Test(s)?

Two SAT Subject tests of the student's choosing are recommended, especially for applicants to the University Honors Program, but not required.

The application asks for my UD ID number. Where can I get it?

If you have ever visited UD or filled out an information card/form, then you have already been assigned a UD ID number. If you do not know your UD ID number, you can still submit your application. We will place your UD ID number on your application when it arrives. The UD ID field is not a required field.
