Yesterday was the last day of classes! I had an exam in business, then got my exam and presentation grades back in bio and finally had my polisci exam in the last class. It was starting to sink in that I was done as I was walking out of Mitchell hall and realized that was the last classroom I would have to sit in at UD. I had this ongoing thought in my head and was wondering..so, have I changed at all in the last four years? I am always saying how I don't feel like I've been here for four years, I can't believe we're gradua
Wow, I cannot believe how long it has been since I posted...sorry! I have been pretty busy with this whole graduation/school thing :-) To start with I found out that I was accepted to the non-thesis Animal Science masters program at Purdue for this fall! I found this out at the beginning of May and had to ask for an extension on my decision. Last week I went home from Wednesday- Saturday. On Thursday I worked for the professor that I will be working for this summer. I spent a few hours editing small animal surgery videos. Then, I had a mee
I am sure that you have heard by now that there are a few students at UD with symptoms similar to those of the swine flu. Instead of focusing on that, I wanted to write about how nearly 16,000 students were notified of this information at the same time. As a student here you have the option of providing the school with your cell phone number. The school already has your email address and every student living on campus is required to have a landline phone in their residence hall room. If there is any type of emergency on campus, the school will send you a text m
This weekend was absolutely gorgeous! Since Friday we have been having temperatures in the 80's and 90's...
What a weekend! I will update on that a little later, but first I wanted to write about the UD Speaks presentation I went to last Thrusday. It was at our conference center on campus (Clayton Hall) and open to the public. I was a little disappointed to see more people from the public than students, but there was a nice turnout overall. Steve Schmidt and David Plouffe were the two men who came to speak. They helped run the Republican and Democratic presidential campaigns (respoectively) and are both UD alum! The official article about the event can be
I am SO excited for this weekend. Here is a little breakdown of the events...
Friday: My boyfriend's 21st birthday! And somehow some of my best friends are all free to go out which makes it even more exciting. It is pretty rare that we are all free on the same night. To top it all off, tomorrow is supposed to be gorgeous!
Here is the link to an article written about Anderson Cooper's visit to UD: http://www.udel.edu/udaily/2009/apr/andersoncooper041609.html I definitely suggest checking it out. It includes a lot of powerful quotes from his speech.
Wow, it has been a long time since I posted. I was having trouble signing on for a while, but it looks like I'm back in business. For a few updates... my spring break was amazing! I honestly could not have asked for it to have gone better. I will try to post some pictures in a few days. The week between break and Easter was kind of a blur because so much was going on school work wise. Then... last week was really busy between exams, assignments, papers, etc, but now I shouldn't have many more crazy weeks until finals!
Today I only had two classes and work, but the day flew by...I still haven't started studying for my exam on Wednesday. I finished my assignments for my online class though so at least that should be done for the week. I am taking a quick break to watch gossip girl :-) and then I am going to crack down on the polisci.
Only 4 days until my spring break officially starts! I am going to NC State for AZ's national conference on Thursday. When the conference is over on Sunday I will be driving to Kentucky to go rock climbing for a few days. It's some of the most well known outdoor climbing in the country so I'm pretty excited about that. There are also going to be a few people from the school gym heading down so it should be a lot of fun. After a few days in Kentucky I am heading home to Indiana to
