Week One

I’ve been back in Delaware for exactly one week and I can, without hesitation, say that it’s great to be back.  As much as I enjoyed my time at home in Massachusetts, being back at school is wonderful.

Inaugural Parade

On January 20, 2009, the University of Delaware Marching Band had the privilege of marching in the Inaugural Parade for the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama.  It was a huge honor and privilege to be a part of such a historic event.

Welcome Back

Hello everyone!

Music and the Brain Video Project

Hello again!

Crooning and Cheering

So today was an exciting day for a couple of reasons.  At noon, about 20 brothers of Phi Mu Alpha went to Newark Manor on Main St. and sang holiday songs to the residents.  Then at 2pm, I went to the UD Men's Basketball game, where I performed with the Pep Band.

Happy Holidays from Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia!

Hello everyone!

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted anything on here.  I think I'm going to make one of my New Year's Resolutions to post to my blog more frequently!  Well, the semester is coming to a close.  I have one final done already and just a few finals to take next week, then I'll be done with my third semester here at UD.  Hard to believe that it's been that long already.

Biden Rally

UD has been called the epicenter for the upcoming presidential election.  There are important positions in both campaigns being held by UD alums.  Additionally, Barack Obama’s running mate, Delaware Senator Joe Biden, is also an alumnus of the University of Delaware.  And today, the point was driven home even further by a huge political rally held out on the Green.  TV cameramen, secret service agents, and thousands of students alike gathered in front of Memorial Hall to see Sen Tom Carper, Democratic candidate for governor Jack Markell, Jill Biden, and - the main

Sweet Home Massachusetts

This past weekend was a very special weekend.  I got to have a “homecoming” of sorts, as the UD Marching Band traveled to Amherst, Massachusetts, for the UMass-UD football game.  As you might remember reading in my very first post, I am originally from Massachusetts!  And though my home is about 2.5 hours away, on the other side of the state, I have spent a good amount of time on the UMass campus.

Last Week...

Hello again!! It's been a while, so here's an update on what I've been up to over the past week...

WHAT'S TODAY?! GAMEDAY!!

Football is life in Newark, DE on Saturdays during football season.  One of my favorite parts of being a student here at Delaware is being a part of the incredible excitement of Blue Hen Football.  The football team here at UD has been really good in recent years.  In 2003, they won the Division I-AA National Championship and JUST LAST YEAR went to Chattanooga, TN, and were the runners-up for National Championship.  UD definitely has one of the best football programs in all of Division I-AA, under the direction of Coach K.C.
